May 15, 2022 · I have MacBook Air (M1, 2020) with Apple M1 Chip and I am using Parallel desktop with ARM based Windows 11. I installed Visual studio 2022 for .Net development in parallels desktop. But it shows like visual studio not supported by ARM based processor.

Aug 21, 2021 · It's not possible in Parallels Desktop. Apple said at WWDC 2020 that Rosetta 2 cannot be used for virtualization. At a later WWDC, they did bring Rosetta 2 translation to Linux virtual machines, however, it only works to run x86_64 binaries on the ARM64 version of the Linux OS; it can't be used to run a full x86_64 operating system.

May 5, 2021 · Well I have a Macbook M1 and running Parallels. I run a multiple Win11 VM that I have enrolled to Intune that pushes Global Protect (Palo Alto). This works fine form me and no issues at all. My issue was with a personal ExpressVPN that I would also like to use. The installer would fail, but ExpressVPN had a manual setup that worked fine for me.

Dec 31, 2020 · I recently received a 16" M1Max 64GB 4TB. I installed Windows 11 22000.318 on Parallels 17.1 without issues, but Creo 7.0.2.0 (the version I am running on Intel Macs) will not launch. Seems like it's pretty much the same story as above in this thread, and from what I can tell it's a Windows issue (maybe missing required .dll files to run Creo).

Mar 3, 2008 · On my m1 Max pro with 64 32 gigs it actually runs really well so far. Essentially it allows your containers to use Rosetta along with QEMU for emulation. Edit: My personal M1 Max has 64 gigs. This is running on my work M1 Pro with 32 gigs. My mistake.
