Aug 20, 2020 · The O1911 was released back around 2003 and was the first WW1 1911 replica. As you state it had a "Carbonia" blue finish that made it look very bluish in bright light. A little over 4000 units were made. Around 2008 Colt re-introduced it, but as the O1918 model instead with a conventional hot salts blue often called black oxide.
