Feb 9, 2022 · My Wordle solver says that "TORIES" is the best six letter word, but I haven't implemented any kind of word-frequency yet so my program is definitely not fully optimal. Another top choice is u/poftim 's recommendation of "SATIRE" (in fact, that's the only suggestion in the comments so far that my program rates highly; "SATIRE" is #14 of 23033).

Jan 20, 2023 · Personally I prefer CRANE + SPILT because those are actual Wordle answer words; over the long haul I compute that I will get the hidden word on the very next guess about 46% of the time. But even just figuring out the hidden word by the SIXTH guess is kind of tricky in some cases, and that's with me using one of the best possible starting pairs.

I've been using your archived wordle and I love it!!! One request: on wordle there is ability to play using "hard mode" which requires player to use any revealed hints in subsequent guesses. I'd like to practice using hard mode on some older puzzles and thought your archive would be perfect for that. Either way, thank you for the archive!!

Jan 16, 2022 · Hubby used scrabble word finder which provided 100-200 (or more) possible words to choose from. In the end, he still had to look at the puzzle for letters that were valid, eliminate & remember the letters that weren’t valid, look at letter placement, & how it was reflected in the puzzle & use all of that information to try to tease out the word.
