The Xbox showcase is where it's just trailers, no talk or filler. The studios themselves release the videos of the more grounded development side you're looking for. I'm extremely happy with the options at present.

Jan 18, 2024 · It was incredibly boring and all the storylines and characters just felt flat. Add on top of that not being a fan of the art direction and stiff physics that felt outdated even at the time of release. Watching trailers for Avowed basically confirms it’s just the same game but re-skinned for a different theme. Hard pass for me.

Jun 23, 2024 · Too many co-op focused experiences and they complain Xbox doesn't make enough quality single player experiences. Now this piece of news comes out to do with Avowed and other subreddits complain the game is poorly developed and lacks focus. Just let them cook. The game looks fun, and it's spirit hearkens back to pillars of eternity.

It's also had a shift in culture. If it's Xbox it's going to get "looks mid" as the first handful of posts, strictly because of the culture. This show was really good. Avowed looks way better, and exactly what if expect from obsidian.

Jan 19, 2024 · Avowed is a AAA game and not a small scale game and the same is the case with games like Age of Empires IV, Clockwork Revolution, Indiana Jones, Returnal etc. that are done by much smaller teams than Halo Infinite, God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Starfield, TLOU Part 2 etc.
