Mar 10, 2021 · Someone who's been using barefoot shoes for a year or two would say the exact same thing about boots I feel that statement. I did my longest hikes in Teva sandals. Years ago, I stopped at Donohue Pass (where the PCT crosses into Yosemite from the south) for a snack. Another hiker was incredulous at seeing someone in sandals up there.

Jun 16, 2011 · It's because they extend about an inch longer than the toes. Shimano knows what they're doing. Shimano has been selling these forever with little changed to the design. I had a pair 30 years ago! The thing that makes them great is the firmness/stiffness of the sole. I tried three other pairs of sandals, all too squishy, could not stand them.
