Theodore A. Atlas Jr. (born July 29, 1956) is an American boxing trainer and fight commentator. The son of a doctor, Atlas grew up in a wealthy area of Staten Island, New York City, New York. His mother, Mary Riley Atlas, was a former contestant in the Miss America pageant system, as well as a model. [1] .

Learned the boxing trade from the legendary Cus D'Amato. Trained such champions as Mike Tyson (as an amateur) and Michael Moorer, the first southpaw World Heavyweight Champion. Ha also trained the 1980 Swedish Olympic team. Boxing analyst for the Friday Night Fights and Wednesday Night Fights on ESPN2.

Teddy Atlas grew up in Staten Island, the son of physician Dr. Theodore Atlas, who founded two local hospitals and was widely known in the community for his charitable work. He attended elementary school at PS 27, and later Curtis High School, his father’s alma mater.
