The personal information of 21,000 students Folsom Cordova Unified School District may have been stolen in a recent data breach.

The educational software giant said it doesn’t anticipate any of the compromised information “being shared or made public,” as a review of the incident continues.

Several school districts in Connecticut have been informed of a possible data breach of the PowerSchool Student Information System. The system contains information on students and staff across the country.

Parents and educators are receiving notifications about the breach, but it’s still unclear exactly how many people have been affected or what information was leaked.

School officials learned of the “potential cybersecurity incident” on Tuesday, Needham Public Schools Superintendent Dan Gutekanst said in a statement.
