The BJP alleged Congress leader Priyank Kharge's name is mentioned in Sachin Panchal's suicide note, demanding a CBI probe. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah defended Kharge, denying any mention in the note and questioned BJP's stance on state police.

Siddaramaiah said Priyank Kharge's name was not mentioned in the death note of civil contractor Sachin Pansal, who died by suicide.

In Karnataka, the contractor had left behind a seven-page note in which he made allegations against a person, who is said to be Priyank Kharge's aide.
