Nayab Singh Saini, the proverbial dark horse who became star of the BJP’s victory in the Haryana assembly elections, was sworn in as chief minister of the state on Thursday in a grand ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a galaxy of NDA leaders.

Saini also announced that in future, free dialysis facilities will be provided in all medical colleges as well, according to a statement by the Department of Public Relations (DPR) Haryana.

Days after BJP's historic victory in the Haryana Assembly elections, Nayab Saini on Thursday (17 October) took oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana. Saini was administered the oath of office by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya.

Besides PM Modi and Amit Shah, several Union ministers including Rajnath Singh and JP Nadda, chief ministers of many states will attend the oath-taking event amid tight security.
