The Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta backed out of agreements to sign Jeff Hoffman because of concerns about the reliever's pitching shoulder before he finalized a three-year contract worth $33 million US with the Toronto Blue Jays last week.

For the Braves they are one of the many teams that will see their pitchers and catchers report on February 12. The date for Atlanta's first full squad workout is scheduled for February 18. Then a few days later Atlanta will begin Grapefruit League play with a matchup versus the Minnesota Twins on February 22.

Braves Spring Training games will begin to air on Feb. 27, when they take on the Washington Nationals. As part of the Braves' new partnership with Gray Media announced in December 2024, the 10 Spring Training games will be broadcast exclusively on local television in 24 markets across the southeast.
