It’s all love between Von Miller and the Broncos. In preparation to face his former team in the Wild Card round on Sunday, Buffalo’s veteran edge rusher doesn’t want to act like he has hatred toward Denver. The franchise still holds a special place in his heart.

Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller's affection for his former team, the Denver Broncos, won't detract from his pursuit of a third Super Bowl ring.

The Broncos square off against the Bills in the first round of the playoffs and rookie QB Bo Nix will face former Denver great Von Miller.

Broncos GM George Paton ripped John Elway’s Band-Aid off, trading Miller to the Rams in November 2021 for two draft picks. The Vonster landed another ring a few months later in La La Land, then parlayed that into a six-year deal in Buffalo worth $20 million annually.

The last time the Denver Broncos played in a playoff game, Von Miller took home Super Bowl MVP honors after totaling 2.5 sacks and forcing two fumbles in a 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Nine years later, the Broncos have now returned to the postseason and they are set to play against the Buffalo Bills — and Von Miller.

Von Miller rose to NFL stardom during the first 10 years of his career with the Denver Broncos. Now, as a member of the Buffalo Bills, Miller will come full circle when the No. 2 seeded Bills take on his former team in the wild-card round of the playoffs on Sunday.

Von Miller learned a year ago that his body no longer healed at the pace it once did. When Miller first suffered a torn ACL in December 2013, he was back for the start of the ensuing season and recorded 14 sacks.

Miller is the Broncos' all time leader in sacks (110.5), forced fumbles (25), tackles for loss (142) and quarterback hits (225). Despite never winning a Defensive Player of the Year award, Miller is one of the greatest defensive players of a generation, and is looking to add another Super Bowl ring to his likely-Hall of Fame career.
