It’s been another difficult year in Pittsburgh, as the Penguins are trudging through another season that will see them finish on the outside looking in at the Stanley Cup Playoffs for a third straight campaign.

The team made a deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs to acquire 26-year-old right-handed defenseman Conor Timmins and depth center Connor Dewar. According to TSN’s Chris Johnston, the Penguins parted with a late-round pick.

The Pittsburgh Penguins appear to have ended their trade deadline day with one final move to shore up their NHL roster for the remainder of the season.
