New Karate Kid movie starring Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio debuts trailer sneak peek at New York Comic-Con behind closed doors.

The franchise found a resurgence with the series Cobra Kai, which saw many characters from the ‘80s films reprise their roles, including Macchio as Daniel LaRusso. However, the new trailer for Karate Kid: Legends, which premiered exclusively at NYCC, reportedly has no mention of Johnny Lawrence’s former dojo.

The first trailer for Karate Kid: Legends premiered at New York Comic Con – and it looks like an epic return to the beloved martial arts franchise.

Sony showed the first trailer for the newest “ Karate Kid ” movie, titled “Karate Kid: Legends,” at New York Comic Con on Friday night. The upcoming movie, releasing in theaters on May 30, unites franchise stars Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan and introduces a new student named Li Fong, played by Ben Wang.

Two sensei have a long-awaited meeting, a lasting legacy is revisited, and a new tale begins in the first footage of Karate Kid: Legends.

Legends happens to be the latest and one of the most anticipated entries in the film series. Meanwhile, to hype up the excitement even more, Sony released an official poster of the movie. The recently shared poster not only brings forth one legacy but has two grand legendary icons from its movie franchise.
