There are new details about what may have lead up to the double homicide and AMBER Alert on Monday. A 31-year-old is now behind bars and charged with the death of the two victims. Crime Watch reporter Meredith Aldis has the details.

Daniel Reyes was arrested in Colorado for falsely reporting a kidnapping, which led to the deployment of an AMBER Alert, after claiming his cousin was in a stolen vehicle.

According to an alert sent just after 5 p.m. on Thursday, a 5-day-old baby was reported to be abducted from the health centre in Montreal Lake. Police later clarified the baby was actually taken from a residence on Montreal Lake Cree Nation, not the health centre.

A man in connection to an AMBER Alert for three missing children from Austin and a double murder in Southeast Austin is in custody, the Austin Police Department said.
