Are Bill Burr and Billy Corgan half-brothers? It's unclear, but in an awkward new interview, it appears they've developed a real brotherly bond over one thing—their shared beef with Howie Mandel.
During a Monday appearance on "The Rich Eisen Show," the comedian, 56, slammed Mandel for surprising him with Billy Corgan during a recent podcast interview. Mandel framed the ambush as a family reunion, as the Smashing Pumpkins frontman previously theorized that Burr might be his half-brother.
Burr then clarified that while he has nothing against Corgan, the speculation brings up negative memories. In an effort to lighten the mood, Corgan reaffirmed his own doubts, gesturing to Burr and joking, "The fact that he said he can’t sing, I think, disproves that we’re related, 'cause I’m not funny, so...it goes both ways."
Burr said his father was a "piece of s---," as he explained of his tension with Corgan, "It's not that I don't like him, it reminds me of all of that s---."
