United Airlines announces its largest international route expansion, including new destinations and resuming flights like Newark to Athens.

United will be the first and only airline to connect the U.S. with Puerto Escondido, Mexico, a resort town found on Mexico's Pacific coast in Oaxaca.

The expansion will add eight new cities, including five from a hub in Newark/New York, according to a news release. The move is part of United’s largest-ever international expansion. Already the U.S. carrier has the most flights across the Atlantic, but this expansion will put the airline at more than 760 weekly flights.

The airline, which said that this is its biggest international expansion ever with more than 760 weekly flights, will also be adding some new routes. Beginning in May, travelers departing from Newark,
