Leading private sector lender is expected to report subdued growth in its bottomline for the September quarter, dragged down by weak loan growth, reflecting the underlying changes that the bank is undertaking to improve the credit-to-deposit ratio.

Analysts are estimating the bank's Profit After Tax (PAT) to reach Rs 16,267.6 crore, which reflects a 1.9% growth compared to the previous year's figure of Rs 15,976.1 crore.

While the profitability of HDFC Bank is anticipated to remain steady, net interest margin (NIM) is expected to recover gradually.

HDFC Bank is expected to report a Net Interest Income (NII) of ₹30,097.2 crore, up 9.9% from ₹27,385.2 crore a year ago.

HDFC Bank is expected to report a 11.5 percent YoY increase in Net Interest Income (NII) at Rs 30,306 crore in the July-to-September quarter. Further, the lender is estimated to report a net profit of Rs 16,570 crore, up 3.7 percent YoY in Q2FY25, as per mean estimates of seven brokerage firms.

Country’s largest private sector lender HDFC Bank will likely post a muted, up to 3 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth, in its Q2FY25 net profit, analysts say. The biggest focus would be on the bank management’s commentary on enhancing net interest margin (NIM) and deposit mobilisation efforts.

Companies like PC Jeweller, UCO Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank and Netweb Technologies will also announce their earnings.

JM Financial is the most optimistic about NII and PAT figures, while ICICI Securities takes a more cautious stance. ICICI Securities anticipates a 4.2% decline in PAT, in contrast to its peers who project growth ranging from 5.
