A source tells PEOPLE that Jolie hopes Pitt will 'move on' and 'stop attacking her' now, as a source for Pitt blasts 'a never-ending distortion of facts and projecting their own behavior onto others.

Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on Sept. 19, 2016, but between figuring out custody regarding their six children, their shared winery property, and abuse allegations, the couple have had a long winding road to cutting ties since their split. A source close to Jolie told People the following:

The pair married in 2014 and split two years later, with Jolie later claiming that Pitt was abusive toward her and their children, but he was cleared of the allegations in an investigation and the FBI declined to press charges.
