The Mumbai police probing the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique has issued a look-out circular (LOC) against three accused, including main shooter Shivkumar Gautam, to prevent them from fleeing the country, an official said on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Following the murder of politician Baba Siddique, Mumbai Crime Branch officials have confirmed to mid-day that they have written to Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), requesting files and details of SRA projects.

On October 12, former minister and NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Baba Siddique, 66, was assassinated in Bandra (East). Just a few days earlier, on October 5, Sachin Kurmi alias Munna, 45, the Byculla Vidhan Sabha Taluka president of the same political faction, was murdered in the Ghopadev area of Byculla.

The accused, during interrogation, disclosed that the contract was given to them to kill both Baba Siddique and his son Zeeshan.

Four accused have already been arrested in the matter so far. The other two named in the LOC are the “co-conspirator.”

Mumbai police have issued a look-out circular for Shubham Lonkar, who is absconding in the NCP leader Baba Siddique's murder case. Investigations reveal the conspiracy began three months ago, with plans hatched in Pune.

Baba Siddique, a member of the ruling Mahayuti coalition in Maharashtra, was shot multiple times while he was leaving his son's Bandra office on October 12.

On the day of the shooting, the shooters chose to take an autorickshaw instead of their motorcycle because they had fallen from the bike a few days earlier.
