Barcelona forward Raphinha fears the registration fiasco surrounding Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor could affect future signings at the Catalan club.

Barcelona winger Raphinha said Tuesday potential future signings might be put off from joining the Catalan giants because of the Dani Olmo registration debacle.

Raphinha has said that players “would probably think twice” about coming to Barcelona after Dani Olmo and Pau Victor were de-registered from their first-team squad. On January 4, Barcelona were planning to file a complaint to the Spanish government in their final attempt to register the two players after La Liga and the Spanish Federation (RFEF) refused to alter their stance on the registrations.

As Barcelona are still unable to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor with the January transfer window swinging open, uncertainty grows about what the club may do moving forward. While they can take the matter to the Higher Sports council (CSD) in order to attempt to register the players via a court order, damage has already been done.
