This year's presidential election is the first in which New Jersey residents can cast an early vote since the state approved the voting option in 2021.

In-person early voting in North Carolina starts on Thursday. You can vote at any early voting location in your county. People can also register to vote. Mecklenburg County Board of Elections Director Michael Dickerson reminded people they must bring a photo ID to vote.

With just a few weeks left before Election Day, in-person early voting is set to begin in North Carolina. Starting Thursday, Oct. 17, voters will be able to cast ballots in-person, at any polling place in the county in which they are registered.
