Lille provided a tough resistance early on but were eventually unlocked when Jonathan David was tackled by Kostas Tsimikas with Curtis Jones releasing Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian set himself before a fine finish into the corner to bag his 50th European goal for Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah was on target again in Europe as Liverpool faced Lille, and he has achieved another remarkable feat for the club when he netted in the 34th minute.
