Joel Embiid again has swelling in his left knee and will miss the Philadelphia 76ers’ upcoming road trip, the latest injury setback for the All-Star center who has played in only 13 games this season.
The news arrived after Embiid missed the previous six games because of a sprained left foot. The seven-time All-Star has only played 13 games this season because of the sprained foot, knee swelling, left knee management, a right sinus fracture, and a three-game suspension.
Embiid has only played in 13 of the Sixers' 39 games this season. He missed the first nine games of the year due to left knee injury management and a suspension, played in four out of five games and then missed the next seven contests as swelling reappeared in the knee which he had surgically repaired last February.
