Migrants who waited months to cross the U.S. border with Mexico learned their CBP One appointments had been canceled moments after Donald Trump was sworn in as president.
The CBP One entry programme, instituted by President Joe Biden, had allowed thousands of migrants to schedule appointments at entry points across the US-Mexico border.

Advocacy group the American Civil Liberties Union (ALCU) immediately said it was suing the Trump administration over the order. "Denying citizenship to US-born children is not only unconstitutional - it's also a reckless and ruthless repudiation of American values," it said in a statement.
The CBP One app has provided crucial support for migrants seeking legal entry into the US, but its future remains uncertain.
Trump has said he would end it as part of a broader immigration crackdown. Critics say it prioritizes a lottery system over people who have long lived in the U.S. illegally while paying taxes and people who have waited years for visas.
