Montembeault stopped 22 of 25 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 win over Utah. Montembeault has won four of his last six starts, though this wasn't the prettiest of efforts. He's allowed a total of 16 goals in that span while going 4-1-1.

The Dallas Stars return home after going 4-1 on their five-game road trip, which included a matchup against Thursday’s opponent, the Montreal Canadiens. MONTREAL — Jason Robertson scored the shootout winner to lift the surging Dallas Stars past the Montreal Canadiens 2-1 for their seventh consecutive victory on Saturday night. Robertson scored the only goal of the shootout while goalie Jake Oettinger stopped Patrik Laine, Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki.

After benefitting early from a flurry of Montreal penalties, Utah was up 2-1 going into the second period, but it wouldn't last. Utah would be outscored 4-1 the rest of the game as Montreal took advantage of Utah's slow defensive rotations along with many opportunities in transition.
