In one of the most turbulent weekends of the season so far, five of the top ten teams in Friday's Bracketology projected 2025 NCAA Tournament bracket lost. However, when everyone loses, sometimes nobody loses.

Despite Iowa State ’s 64-57 loss at then-unranked West Virginia, the Cyclones moved down just one spot. While Alabama, Florida and Tennessee stayed put, Michigan State (16-2) and Houston (14-3) made significant jumps.

The new AP poll is out, and the Auburn Tigers are No. 1 on the list for the second time in program history. The first time was for three weeks in January and February of 2022. Auburn jumped Tennessee for the No. 1 spot after the Volunteers lost 73-43 to Florida on Tuesday in Gainesville. Tennessee had be No. 1 for five weeks.

Only three teams — Alabama, Florida and No. 6 Tennessee — held the same spot from a week ago. The chaotic week allowed No. 8 Michigan State to move into the top 10 for the first time this season and No. 22 Missouri into the poll for the first time since 2022-23.

Iowa State, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Marquette and Kentucky all have single digits next to their names (in the AP poll for now) but lost as favorites this week. Auburn was fine, though.
