Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai flogged himself six times Friday morning to begin a protest against the ruling DMK, over the Anna University incident and to ensure the party is defeated in the 2026 election.

Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai criticizes the DMK government, highlighting alarming statistics of increased crime rates including child marriages and crimes against women. He disputes the state's financial claims about internet bills and questions the Deputy CM's silence on a key sexual assault case at Anna University.

Criticising the state government for its handling of law and order, K Annamalai urged authorities to grant the police freedom to investigate the incident thoroughly to prevent such occurrences in the future.
