The annual Orionid meteor shower is set to peak Sunday night into Monday at a rate of 10 to 20 meteors per hour. Here’s how to see the spectacle in the night sky.

The Orionids, which began in late September, are considered the most beautiful of the annual meteor showers. The activity typically peaks on October 20 and 21 but will be visible until November 22.

This event is linked to Halley’s comet, and occurs as another comet, Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, remains visible. But a nearly full moon could interfere with some views.
