A prepackaged food provider is asking all customers who have these products in their fridge to return them for a refund or throw them out. Here's why.

Reser’s Fine Foods has recalled several meal kits due to a potential Listeria contamination. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Reser’s Fine Foods has voluntarily recalled a limited number of its meal kits because they contain recalled chicken from ingredient supplier BrucePac,

Last week, over 9 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat was recalled by BrucePac, a food company located in Durant, Oklahoma. Out of caution, Reser's Fine Foods recalled its meal kits that have chicken produced by BrucePac. The meal kits branded Bistro 28 and Don Pancho were sold in 30 states.

On October 9, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that BrucePac, a company based in Durant, Oklahoma, was recalling approximately 9,986,245 pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry items.

BrucePac is recalling roughly 5,000 tons of ready-to-eat meals sold at Walmart, Target and other stores because they may be contaminated with listeria bacteria.
