Nearly 1,300 housekeepers, bellmen, cooks, and other workers at four Boston hotels remained on strike indefinitely Thursday, according to a spokesperson for the hotel workers’ union. The union, pushing for contracts with stronger wages and benefits, said the strike will last until the union reaches an agreement with the hotel chains.

More than 1,200 Boston hotel employees continued to strike this week, joining thousands of hotel workers around the country who are fighting for higher wages. While some of the strikes in other states have ended,

An estimated 600 workers will strike at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza and the Hilton Boston Logan Airport Hotels, according to a statement from the hotel workers’ union.
