The Gophers' most recent addition from the transfer portal was UCLA transfer wide receiver Logan Loya, who joins Miami (OH) transfer Javon Tracy as the second receiver pickup this offseason, but Minnesota might be looking at one more pass catcher.

The Gophers on Tuesday received the third commitment from a wide receiver during the December transfer portal window when former Nebraska wideout Malachi Coleman — one of the nation’s top recruits in the 2023 class — announced on the X platform that he is joining Minnesota’s football program.

Malachi Coleman, who spent last season with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, announced he has committed to Minnesota after entering the transfer portal. The former four-star recruit and top-60 2023 recruit was an immediate contributor for the Huskers in 2023, finishing with eight catches for 139 yards and a touchdown in 11 games.

Joining Miami (Ohio)’s Javon Tracy and UCLA’s Logan Loya, Nebraska transfer wide receiver Malachi Coleman has committed to play for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
