Either way, the Scribe’s software updates are its most exciting new features. Most of them are designed to make the device more useful for writing. Not only has has Amazon upgraded its entry-level Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Scribe, it also launched the all-new Kindle Colorsoft, its first Kindle with a color E Ink screen.

Amazon also unveiled a refreshed $399 Kindle Scribe with new note-taking features, and an updated $159 Kindle Paperwhite.
