Amazon is shutting down many of its physical stores. The e-commerce giant first told Reuters on Wednesday that it's planning to shutter its Amazon Books ... as the company's online business.

"Prices at Amazon Books are the same as prices offered by Amazon.com, so you’ll never need to compare our online and in-store prices," the site explained in a welcome letter posted on Amazon.
