Honda and Acura have recalled 295,000 vehicles in order to update their fuel injection software. Improper programming could cause the vehicles' engines to lose drive power, hesitate and stall, which could increase the risk of a crash or injury,

Honda is recalling nearly 295,000 Honda and Acura vehicles that could potentially suffer engine stalls or loss of power from faulty software.

Both Acura Type-S vehicles get the new engine Acura introduced specifically for the high-performance Type-S variants. The twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 makes 355 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque and comes with a 10-speed automatic. Versions of the MDX with the 3.5-liter V6 that is also used in the Pilot are not covered under the recall.
