The 75-acre Woodley Fire sparked Wednesday morning near the Sepulveda Basin in the San Fernando Valley. The blaze is burning by the 101 and 405 freeways and is being driven by strong winds. Cal Fire reports that the flames pose the threat of crossing Burbank Boulevard.

A brush fire burned more than 75 acres in Los Angeles' west San Fernando Valley on another day of red flag conditions in Southern California.

A fourth wildfire has ignited in Southern California as extreme winds continue to fuel blazes around Los Angeles. The Woodley Fire is now burning in the San Fernando Valley. KCAL News assignment manager Mark Liu reports.

Firefighters in the San Fernando Valley are responding to a brush fire in Sylmar as crews in Pacific Palisades and Altadena battle other brush fires that have triggered evacuation orders in their respective areas.

The Kenneth Fire broke out at about 2:40 p.m. along the western edge of the San Fernando Valley, quickly growing to more than 50 acres and prompting mandatory evacuations. The fire is located in the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve and is pushing toward dense developments in the cities of Calabasas and Agoura.

The Woodley Fire burning near the Sepulveda Basin in the San Fernando Valley has grown to 75 acres. Crews are working to contain flames and protect nearby structures.

The fire was reported just before 4 a.m. Wednesday, at a park between the 101 and 405 freeways.

With the Los Angeles area already reeling from two wildfires, a third broke out Tuesday night in the north end of the Valley.

According to Cal Fire, the blaze was initially reported at 75 acres, however, it was later revised to 30 acres.
