The State Police security involved uniformed troopers monitoring the crowds of pink-clad demonstrators who came out in support of Read, as well as counter protestors. They also directed traffic, and patrolled the outside of the courthouse.

Police announced Friday evening that Det. Lt. Brian Tully, who has been under internal investigation, has been transition to a different department for the time being.
