New York Rangers second-year player Matt Rempe was hit with his second significant suspension for elbowing the Dallas Stars' Miro Heiskanen.

Brooks took to X to voice his concerns, accusing the NHL of “selective prosecution” of the Rangers enforcer while also urging Rempe to appeal the suspension. “Selective prosecution,” Brooks wrote. “Rempe should appeal.”
