McCarty won three times in a span of six events on the Korn Ferry Tour to earn a promotion to the PGA Tour and in just his second start in the big leagues, he returned to the winner’s circle with a 72-hole total of 23-under 261 and a three-shot victory over Stephan Jaeger.

A win Sunday in Utah capped a remarkable run for the 26-year-old who went from an unknown to the owner of a full 2025 Tour schedule in a matter of weeks.

That spot had a harsher glare as McCarty stood on the tee of the 310-yard, par-4 14th. Holding a nervy one-shot lead over Stephen Jaeger, McCarty smoked his Ping G410 3-wood, running it onto the green where it stopped three feet from the hole, the ensuing eagle boosting his lead to three.
