Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis wanted to make sure Boston bounced back against the Nuggets on Tuesday night.

Kristaps Porzingis scored 15 points in the first quarter as he looked more like the difference-maker he was throughout last season.

But despite that drop in difficulty, the Celtics came away encouraged by Porzingis’ play. Head coach Joe Mazzulla said in his postgame news conference that Porzingis “was big-time … on both ends of the floor” and “the most physical” he’d been since his return from surgery. Teammates agreed.

The Celtics released their injury report ahead of their matchup against the Timberwolves. This is a game that Boston needs to win in order to get back on track. Porzingis was listed as questionable for the game due to his left ankle sprain. He will be out in the game.
