WASHINGTON (7News) — A man is dead after a shooting in a Southeast, D.C. neighborhood Sunday morning, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. The shooting was reported on the 1400 block of 18th Street, police said. When officers responded to the scene, they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

D.C. police are investigating a shooting in Southeast that left a man hurt Sunday afternoon. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said officers responded to the 3700 block of Wheeler Road after receiving reports of a shooting that happened just after 4 p.

Three people were injured in an overnight shooting near Howard University Saturday night. Officers were called to the scene in the 2200 block of 8 Street, Northwest, around 1:50 a.m. after shots were fired.
