Monroe is a borough in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The population was 482 at the 2020 census. Monroeton is located in south-central Bradford County at 41°42′46″N 76°28′31″W / 41.71278°N 76.47528°W, in the valley of Towanda Creek, a tributary of the Susquehanna River. The borough is surrounded by Monroe Township but is separate from it. Monroeton was described in 1940 as "a Y-shaped farming village of small vine-covered houses."
