We did part of the Fox Island Trail however the whole place is gorgeous no matter where you go in the village or surrounding area. Definitely worth the trip off the highway Full review by wigsy

What is the name of the type of beach that is on the Fox Island Trail?

I am sorry. I do not know. The “beaches” in the beginning of the trail are quite rocky. As you travel further and get closer to town you can find real beaches, some with more fine sand.
